JAMMU, Feb 14: Resident Doctors’ Association, Govern-ment Medical College (GMC), Jammu, has appealed Principal, GMC, Jammu, to activate the Students Fund and make sure that the medicos give their full participation in co-curricular activities.
The issue came up for discussion today in a meeting of the RDA held here at GMC under the chairmanship of RDA president, Dr Akhil Gupta and general secretary, Dr Waseem. Various issues related to the patient care and betterment of institution were discussed in the meeting.
Welcoming the move of the present GMC Principal, Dr Zaheed Geelani, to open all co-curricular activities including sports and cultural activities, which were freezed due to some issues in the past, RDA appealed the Principal to activate the Students Fund, as no student from the institution participated in any co-curricular activity outside the State for last five years and if anybody might have gone, they did it on their own expenses.
