RD S&LR conducts surprise inspection of Tikri Niabat

UDHAMPUR, Oct 7: Regional Director (RD), Survey & Land Records (S&LR), Udhampur/Reasi, Amit Sharma, today conducted a surprise inspection of Tikri Niabat and checked revenue records of various Patwars.
Amit Sharma was accompanied by a team of revenue officials including Naib Tehsildars, Narinder Kumar and Karnail Singh, and Patwaris, Ghulam Mohd, Rakesh Kumar, Mohd Arshad, Bhagat Singh and others.
During the inspection, a lot of areas were touched and discrepancies were pointed out in revenue records of village Mand falling with Patwari Upkar Singh. Tikri Naib Tehsildar, Vinod Badyal was instructed to set revenue records in order for all the 24 Patwars of his Naiabat and ensure that the ongoing Girdawari exercise is completed well within the stipulated time period ending on 15th October and strictly in-line with instructions as prescribed in various standing orders issued from time to time.
The records of two revenue villages Mand and Phalata were thoroughly checked by the Director and his revenue team, and strict instructions were issued to remove the anomalies immediately which were pointed out during the inspection.
The Director also expressed dismay over non-writing of Girdawari in lot of villages of Tikri Niabat due to seizure of lot of revenue registers by Vigilance team lot of years back and the same lying with police thereby leading to loss of entry of latest data. He assured that the matter shall be taken up with concerned authorities for sorting out the matter soon.
He also ensured to get Girdawari entries cross-checked in the presence of maximum inhabitants of the area so that the exercise being conducted is a successful one and if any dispute arises, correction entries could be made at the spot only so that the revenue records are latest, up to date and error-free.
