Rather listens grievances of KPs, assures redressal

JAMMU, Jan 2: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Kokernag Abdul Rahim Rather convened a meeting of PDP Migrant Cell of Kashmir Pandits of Kokernag constituency here and discussed issues with them for their welfare and development.
Speaking on the occasion, Nana Jee Wattal, Chairman highlighted the burning issues of the pandits and urged the Government particularly Relief Commissioner to expedite and made bifurcation ration card making process simple, construction of additional family quarters for Government employees at Valley, conduct police recruitment rallies at camps and issue selection lists with SSRB.
MK Bhat, President acknowledged the sufferings and hardships being faced by the pandits. He apprised MLA about the issues of those hailing from Kokernag constituency including unemployment, healthcare, education, relief, etc.
Nana Jee Raina, Vice President said that centrally sponsored schemes, release of balance ex-gratia relief and official working system of camp and relief officers are the core issues, which needs to be looked into.
Sohan Lal Pandita, General Secretary and Bushan Lal, cashier-cum-accountant also expressed their views.
MLA paid patient hearing to the issues raised in the meeting and assured that all the problems being faced by the pandits will be looked into for redressal.
