Rasool misses ton as Chhattisgarh gains first innings lead against J&K

GWALIOR, Dec 9:
Skipper Parvez Rasool missed the ton and got out for 92 runs as J&K scored 242 runs in their first innings against Chhattisgarh’s 370 runs in Ranji Trophy Group-C match at Gwalior, today.
Thus Chhattisgarh gained a vital first innings lead of 138 runs.
Chhattisgarh were 101 for the loss of one wicket in their second innings at stumps on day-3 today.
Sahil Gupta was the only batsman to be dismissed at his individual score of 33 runs, while Manoj Singh (45) and Amandeep Khare (17) were at the crease. Parvez Rasool was the only successful bowler for J&K, who took 1 wicket by conceding 24 runs in his 5 overs. Now, Chhattisgarh are leading by 229 runs, with 9 wickets in hand.
Earlier, resuming from an over total of 33/1, Jammu and Kashmir managed to score 242 runs. Parvez was the top scorer with 92 runs, studded with 11 fours, while Ian Dev Singh contributed 48 runs with 8 boundaries. Shubham Khajuria (27), Pranav Gupta (22), Samiullah Beigh (16) and Mohsin Mufti (13) were the other contributors. For Chhattisgarh, Sumit Ruikar took 5 important wickets, while Pankaj Roa bagged 3 wickets.
