Rashly driven mini-bus turns turtle, 6 injured

JAMMU, Mar 29: Six persons sustained injuries when a speedy minibus they were travelling in turned turtle near Vikram Chowk.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK02BE-1886 was on its way from Bathindi to Amphalla Chowk, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it turned turtle near Vikram Chowk, resulting into injuries to six persons.
After getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where their condition was stated to be stable, when reports last came in.
The injured have been identified as Gulshan (40), son of Noor Mohammad, Ashraf (40), son of Mohammad Iqbal, Sharifa (30), wife of Ashraf, Mama Bano (60), wife of Hamid, Latief (35), son of Mehboob, all residents of Bathindi and Zahida, a resident of district Doda.
The driver and helper of the minibus managed to escape from the spot leaving behind the minibus.
Police have registered a case, seized the minibus and launched hunt to nab the absconding driver.
