Ranvijay urges Govt for adequate compensation to border victims

JAMMU, May 26: Ranvijay Singh, Trustee of Rajput Charitable Trust J&K and Maharaja Hari Singh Social & Education Foundation, Jammu, today appealed the Central as well as J&K Government to provide adequate compensation and Government jobs to those who lost their family members and property in recent ceasefire violations in Jammu region.
He was speaking after interacting with a delegation of border areas which called on him and narrated their woes and pathetic condition due to the firing and shelling by Pakistani which many people including children and women were killed and injured.
The delegation also handed over a memorandum to the Trustee indicating full details of the damages and their sufferings. Ranvijay Singh assured the delegation of providing all support, help and relief to the affected people and condemned Pakistan for unprovoked firing and shelling on the innocent people of the border area.
He also appealed J&K Government/Central Government to initiate steps for ensuring safety of border residents and their property in case of ceasefire violations by Pakistan. He also demanded compensation for the affected people besides a Government job for those who lost their family members in the recent ceasefire violations.
