Randhawa tours Bhour area, interacts with people

JAMMU, July 11: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today conducted an extensive tour to Ward No-1, Bhour Camp, Bhour Pind and Bhour Kothey, wherein, he interacted with the people to assess their problems.
While interacting with the people at these places Randhawa highlighted various people friendly initiatives of the Modi Government at Centre. He urged the people to come forward and avail the benefits of the  friendly schemes launched by the Central and the State Government.
Mentioning Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojna (PMUY), Randhawa said that hundreds of the families of the area who are living below the poverty line have been provided the benefit under the scheme. He said free cooking gas connections along with gas stoves were given to the families of the area few days ago. He further assured the other left out families who fall in the BPL list to provide them the same soon.
While lauding PMUY Randhawa said there are many more such people friendly schemes which can uplift the lives of the down trodden class. He said many schemes have been launched for the welfare of the farmers also and urged upon the farmers of the area to avail benefit.
The locals appreciated the efforts of the Ch. Vikram to reach out people and aware them regarding the welfare schemes of the Government.
Others who were present on the occasion include Ashok Khajuria, Pitamber Sharma, Vijay Sharma, Bharat Sharma, Surinder Sharma, Rajinder Kumar, Raj Kumar, Gurpreet Singh, Jaswant Singh, Balbir Singh and Rajinder Singh.
