Randhawa lays foundation of community hall

JAMMU, Dec 17: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa today laid down the foundation of community hall at Mohalla Tarkhana, Narwal in Gandhi Nagar Assembly Segment.
While laying the foundation stone of the community hall, Randhawa said that during his visit to the area soon after his election to the Upper House of the State Assembly the locals have raised the demand for the construction of the community hall.
“I had committed with the people that I will get it constructed out of my Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and today I have fulfilled my promise by laying foundation stone of the same and releasing Rs 5 lakh out of my CDF”, Randhawa added.
He said that it was a long pending demand of the people of Narwal area as there is no place for them to hold or organize small functions. He lambasted the previous regimes for their failure to develop the area as per the requirements. He said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is committed to carry forward the slogan ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas’ to the doorsteps of the people irrespective of caste, creed and colour.
Randhawa directed the Block Development Officer (BDO), Shahid Iqbal, who was also present on the occasion to ensure that the quality of the material is not compromised. Randhawa also directed the officials to ensure timely completion of the community hall.
The locals have complimented Ch. Vikram Randhawa for keeping his commitment and extended whole hearted support to the Bhartiya Janata Party in the coming future.
Tarun Sharma, Amit Gupta, Beli Ram Bhagat, Mohinder Sharma, Manohar Lal and others were among those who were present on the occasion.
