Rana rubbishes reports of joining PDP

JAMMU, Feb 3: Rubbishing the speculations about his joining People’s Democratic Party, senior National Conference leader and Deputy Chairman Legislative Council Javed Rana on Monday described a report appearing in a section of press as a deliberate attempt to create confusion and to further the interests of a particular political outfit, which finds itself in the political wilderness due to fast dwindling support in Poonch-Rajouri belt.
Addressing a press conference here today, Rana said  perturbed over the unprecedented enthusiasm among the people over creation of new administrative units by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the PDP wants to divert the attention by utilizing services of a few odd paid people to create doubts and generate confusion about political loyalties”.
The Deputy Chairman vowed to fight the mischievous elements who volunteer themselves to become tools of unscrupulous politicians in furthering their agenda in lieu of considerations.
Mr Rana said the report simply deserves to be dismissed with contempt it deserves but keeping in view its nuisance value, it becomes imperative to expose the mischievous elements and their mentors in political arena who base their politics on deception and fraud. He said questioning his loyalty towards National Conference must have even put his worst detractors in a fix but given their sick mindset they could not have resisted the temptation of maligning his reputation.
Rana further asserted that PDP will be completely routed out of Poonch-Rajouri belt and its deceitful leadership comprising of Mufti Mohd Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti will vanish after 2014 polls from the entire State.
