NAGROTA, Nov 4:  National Conference provincial president Devender Singh Rana today laid foundation stones of Sulabh Sochaliyas at spiritually blessed Paidh Devta and scenic Jhajjar-Kotli which will cost Rs 28 lakh  each.
He also laid the foundation stones of Bathing Ghats for gents and ladies at Kandoli in Nagrota, which will involve a cost of Rs 9 lakh. The cumulative amount of Rs 37 lakh have been sanctioned out of Constituency Development Fund of Rana.
Project Director Sulabh Sochaliyas, Jammu and Kashmir, assured the MLA Nagrota that these Sochaliyas will be completed in three months and would be maintained on modern lines, as is being done at Dhansal and Nagrota.
Rana also took stock of the functioning of irrigation lift pump station at Kattal Battal.
Interacting with the people, he highlighting multifaceted potential of strategically positioned Nagrota Assembly Constituency in immediate periphery of the winter capital on National Highway and called for special dispensation to harness and promote its tourism, pilgrim and economic aspects optimally to give boost to the economy.
“The constituency is ideally located in the lap of Mata Vaishno Devi on Trikuta Hills and can generate vistas of opportunities in tourism and economic sectors”, he said.  The MLA Nagrota said restoration and promotion of ancient road to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine through the constituency could prove as a game-changer for bringing Nagrota at the central stage of Jammu’s heritage landscape. He exuded confidence that the historic road link between Bamyal and Devi Mai via Oli-Mandir and construction of bridge would be constructed in a time bound manner, as this route will not only restore the pristine glory of the area but give a big boost to economy. “Similarly, Paidh Devta area also needs infrastructural development in a big way”, he added.
“To have the potential of this important constituency fully harnessed, a special dispensation is needed to achieve the vision of model Nagrota”, Rana maintained.
Earlier, Rana paid obeisance at the Paidh Devta.
Dharamvir Singh Jamwal, Ashok Singh, Rameshwar Dutt, Prof  Vijay Dev Singh, Kulbushan Singh, Asa Ram, Raman Wazir and others accompanied Rana.
