Raksha, Prachi, Ankita clinch top positions in Classical Dance

JAMMU, Sept 28: The events of Classical Dance and Skit were conducted today on the seventh day of the ongoing ‘Display Your Talent’, being organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu.
Dean Students Welfare, Prof Satnam Kour, Dr AR Manhas, Assistant Dean Students Welfare and other faculty members, students and scholars were present on the occasion.
In Classical Dance, Raksha Godya from Institute of Music and Fine Arts, Prachi Bamotra from GCW Gandhi Nagar and Ankita Yadav from Institute of Music and Fine Arts stood first, second and third respectively.
VN Kohli, Jivan Bala and Anjali Sharma were the judges and Dr Shashi Prabha was the Teacher Incharge of the event.
In Skit competition, first position was clinched by GCW, Gandhi Nagar, second position was won by GCW, Parade and PG Integrated team stood third. Sanyam Pandoh from KC Law College was declared as Best Actor and Richa Sharma from GCW Gandhi Nagar was adjudged as Best Actress.
Certificates of Merit in acting were awarded to Shivam Singh from GGM Science College, Gauri Thakur from GCW Gandhi Nagar, Ashima Sharma from The Law School, JU, Sameeta Rana from PG Integrated Team, JU and Rohan Sharma from SPMR College of Commerce.
Makhan Lal Saraf, Arvind Anand and Anil Tickoo were the judges, while Dr Hina Saxena was the Teacher Incharge of the event.
The event was coordinated by Ifra Kak, Cultural Officer and Sumeet Sharma, Drama Instructor. Sonakshi, Kirti Sharma, Neha, Sameeksha and Swatantra did the hall management. Kulbhushan Thakur operated the sound.
