Rakh Gadigarh victim of political apathy: Randhawa

JAMMU, Jan 6:  Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa has slammed the previous regime for ignoring Panchayat Rakh Gadigarh during his extensive tour to various villages in the Panchayat today.
Ch. Vikram Randhawa who conducted an extensive tour to the Panchayat Rakh Gadigarh on the request of the residents of the area to assess the developmental scenario took serious note of the style of working of previous regime which completely neglected this Panchayat . Randhawa who was accompanied by former Sarpanch, Vijay Sharma and other prominent residents of the panchayat visited various villages and termed the situation as shameful for those who claim to have done all round development in Gandhi Nagar constituency.
Randhawa said that the condition of the lanes and drains has deteriorated in such a manner that none can pass through them wearing sandals and shoes. He said that it seems that the Panchayat is still in the pre independence era.
He on the spot directed the concerned Block Development Officer (BDO) to conduct a visit to the Panchayat along with prominent residents and prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) of various developmental works including construction of lanes and drains and submitted it at an earliest so that the work can be started with shortest possible time.
While speaking on the occasion Randhawa came down heavily on the former legislator and ex-Minister Raman Bhalla for his developmental claims. He said BJP is committed to the slogan of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi—‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas’ and assured the villagers of all possible help in carrying out various developmental works.
The locals present on the occasion the decision of the MLC and assured to extend full support to the Bharatiya Janata Party in the coming future. Others who were present on the occasion include Pt Ashok Khajuria, Vikas Sharma, Bhagat Ram Sharma, Ex Panch Sunita Devi, S. Angad Singh.
