JAMMU, Mar 18: An outreach rally was organised under Director Rajya Sainik Board at Samba as part of establishing contact of Citizens with ESM and Veer Naris/Widows.
The function was presided over by Mamta Singh Vice President, BJP (J&K) and was attended by Brig Harcharan Singh, Director Sainik Welfare Department, Brig Anil Gupta, ESM Cell BJP, Dr DK Manyal MLA Samba, Janvir Singh district president BJP and Sheetal Nanda DC Samba, amongst others.
The function concentrated on contact programme with ESM/ Veer Naris and their education on finances and pension. SBI represtatives from Jammu and Samba gave a lecture on finance management. Col Sambyal gave lecture on pension issues.
Director Sainik Welfare, Brig Harcharan Singh highlighted need to help non pensioners and informed the ESM to take help of Armed Forces Tribunal established at Sunjwan for resolution of pension cases.
Speaking on the occasion all the speakers assured help to the ESM Widows to sort out any problems connected with pension/help from the State Government. Mamta  Singh told the audience that Nation is grateful to the martyrs and their families for the sacrifice made in the line of duty.
Gallantry awards winners were facilitated by Mamta Singh. 50 non pensioner widows were presented gifts by her on the behalf of Red Cross Society, Jammu. Col Sushil Singh Pathania, Samba gave out vote of thanks.
