Rajouri, Poonch worst victims of discrimination by Govt: BJP

RAJOURI, Aug 19: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) today accused the State Government of ignoring the twin border districts Rajouri & Poonch.
This was alleged by senior BJP leader and MLA, Jugal Kishore Sharma while addressing meetings in connection with launch of Party’s  membership drive at Kalakote and other places near here today.
Lambasted the State Government for totally ignoring these two districts, he said Jammu region has been totally ignored since independence by the successive State Governments. Besides, Kalakote, he addressed the public meetings at Thata Pani, Dhangri,Doongi,Bathuni & Muradpur.
He said district Rajouri and Poonch are the worst victim of discrimination by the successive State Governments and this resulted into the backwardness of this area.
He said coal mine workers, SPOs, VDC members and the Home Guards are facing lot of problems but no body has paid any heed to mitigate the sufferings of these peoples.
Addressing the workers BJP State secretary Vibodh Gupta said Government has neglected the people of Rajouri & Poonch because of their nationalist credentials. He said inter district recruitment ban largely affected the people of this area and demanded that this ban should immediately be withdrawn.
BJP district president Yogesh Sharma, senior BJP leader Kuldeep Raj Gupta and Sanjay Dutt also addressed the people.
