POONCH, Jan 21: Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) general secretary, Shahnawaz Choudhary today alleged that Rajouri-Poonch belt of Pir Panjal was facing severe discrimination under present Coalition Government.
Addressing NSUI convention at Surankote,   Shahnawaz castigated the present Government for ignoring the border districts. This Government has completely failed on its agendas of development. He said Surankote is far behind in the field of education. The  Education Department was doing nothing in this regard. He also criticised the Ministry of  Youth, Services and Sports  as there  is not a single playground for youth in Surankote area.
He said the drug menace is the biggest problem  which we are facing today. Our youth are being spoiled by the drug mafia in the whole Pir Panjal  region. Their energy is not being channelised in the right direction. This Government is making anti-youth policies and has breached the trust of people of the State. He said MP Jugal Kishore has not done any work in Surankote and this Government is dividing people in the name of Gujjars and Paharis. He assured the students to raise  these issues with the higher authorities.
Ajaz Chowdhary PYC secretary Raqeeq Khan NSUI State vice president and Sikander Hayat Youth Congress president Surankote were also special invitees.
Vishal Choudhary National Secretary NSUI and State incharge Jammu and Kashmir also spoke on the occasion. He said that NSUI will fight for the rights of students and will raise their voice against the anti youth policies of Government.
Others who were present there included Mohd Imran – tehsil president NSUI Surankote, Asif Bajjar, Mumtaz Malik, Ajaz Chouhan Ikhlaq Tabassum, Ghulam Nabi district president NSUI, Wasim Chouwdhary, Akash Malik  and  Moshin Malik.
