JAMMU, Aug 18: Rajesh Gupta, Jammu East MLA inaugurated the works of lanes and drains at Gujjar Nagar in Ward No 6 at an estimated cost of the work Rs 5.70 lakh, today.
Gupta, while speaking on the occasion said that with the cessation of the rainy season the developmental activity is going to pick up and in particular the black topping of the damaged roads would be done on a war footing.
The BJP leaders who accompanied the MLA included district general secretary Vinay Gupta, Prof Shyam,Vijay Mahajan, Rajinder Gupta, Rinku,Ashok Gupta, Bodhraj, Manoj, Sudesh Kanotra,Vanita Arora, Suraj Prakash,Subhash Chander and Puran Chand.
Others who accompanied were JMC officials and members of Muslim Federation namely Master Akram, Fazal Qaisar, Abdul Rashid, Sofi Mohd, Shaikh Tanveer, Farooq Shaikh, Mohd Hussain, Rafiq Khan, Altaf, Mohd Shafi, Aftab Manhas, Ghulam Haidar, Showkat and Parvez.
Prominent among those who also accompanied the MLA were Gulshan Mahajan, Pardeep Sharma, Ashwani Sharma, Girdhri Lal, Hari Om Sharma, Gokul Koul, Subhash Sanghra, Rajeev Bhardwaj, Vinay Gupta, Gopal Gupta, Rajesh Nischal and Manav Mahajan.
