JAMMU, Apr 7: Rajbagh police today seized 4.4 Kgs of Poppy straw during a naka and checking duty.
A police party of Police Station Rajbagh led by SI Ahmed Din on the instructions of Inspector, Sarabjeet Singh, SHO, PS Rajbagh under the direct supervision of Dy SP Raghubir Singh, SDPO Border during a naka checking duty at NHW near Police Station Rajbagh intercepted one truck bearing Registration Number JK02W 3287 and recovered 4.4 Kgs of Poppy Straw from it.
Police arrested the driver namely Raman Kumar S/o Ram Lal R/O Rajbagh Kathua. Police also seized the truck. Accordingly case FIR No 88/2018 u/s 8/15 NDPS Act was also registered at Police Station Rajbagh. Police also seized the truck. Further Investigation is also going on.
The drive was carried out under the supervision of Sanjay Parihar, Additional SP Kathua and under the overall supervision of Mohd Suleman Choudhary, SSP Kathua.
