Rajay slams unbeaten ton, Vishal hits 85 in UCC’s 214-run win

JAMMU, May 24: Brilliant unbeaten century by Rajay Singh and superb 85 run by Vishal guided United Cricket Club (UCC) Bishnah to a big win by 214 runs over Spartan Cricket Club in the ongoing JKCA Premier Cricket Championship, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, under the patronage of Justice CK Prasad and Justice Rifat Alam and under the chairmanship of CEO JKCA Ashiq Hussain Bukhari and overall supervision of retired Judge, Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
BATTING FIRST, UCC Bishnah scored a huge total of 334 runs in 30 overs, losing 5 wickets in the process. Rajay Singh scored unbeaten 123 runs off just 58 balls, studded with 22 fours and 2 sixes, while Vishal contributed valuable 85 runs off 45 balls, with the help of 11 fours and 3 sixes. Shubham and Manish took 2 wickets each for Spartan Cricket Club.
In reply, Spartan Cricket Club bundled out for 120 runs in 20.3 overs, thus lostthe match by a huge margin of 214 runs. Aman Singh (30) and Karan (25) were the main contributors. Danny was the pick of the bowlers for UCC Bishnah, who scalped 4 important wickets, while Vishal took 3 wickets. Rajay Singh was adjudged as the man of the match for his brilliant century.
The match was officiated by Madan Mohan and Ashok Singh as umpires, while Saleem-ur-Rehman was the scorer.
In tomorrow’s fixture Lions Cricket Club will take on Gorkha Cricket Club at 9:30 am.
The Organising Committee of the Tournament includes Rajesh Gill, Rajesh Dhar, Vijay Saberwal, Vijay Sharma, Harsh Nayyar and Sachin Singh.
