Rahul to kickstart Cong campaign in Guj with rallies in Dwarka, Jamnagar

NEW DELHI: After his successful visit to the United States during which he addressed students and intellectuals at the University of California in Berkley and University of Princeton, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will kickstart the party campaign for the Gujarat Assembly elections with a series of rallies and public meetings in Dwarka and Jamnagar districts tomorrow.
The visit will begin with a visit to Dwarkadhish Temple in Dwarka in the morning. The Congress vice-president will address a corner meeting with party workers and supporters at Bhatiya Village in Dwarka.
Thereafter, he will address a village Chaupal at Hanjdapar village. This will be followed by an interaction with elected Panchayat representatives at Vadtra Village.
Later in the day, the Congress vice-president will address farmers at Milan Chauraha in Village Khambhaliya, He will also have a meeting with fishermen at Vasai Village in Jamnagar district.
Thereafter, he will address a meeting with traders at Chandi Bazar in Jamnagar district . Rahul’s campaign for the Gujarat assembly election follows a successful visit to the United States during which he addressed students and intellectuals at the University of California in Berkley and the university of Princeton.
He also addressed members of the overseas Congress at New York. Elections to the Gujarat assembly are scheduled to be held by the end of the year. The Congress vice-president had earlier this month addressed a meeting of Congress workers in Gujarat. (AGENCIES)
