PYC to field candidates in ULB elections: Pandey

JAMMU, June 29: The J&K Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) is planning to field the candidates in forthcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections.
This was disclosed by Dr Uma Shankar Pandey, Incharge J&K PYC, during the first meeting of newly promoted office bearers of J&K PYC, held here today.
The meeting was called with the aim to get the feedback from the newly promoted office bearers for further rejuvenating the Youth Congress and chalk out strategy with regard to forthcoming Urban Local Bodies elections in the State.
Thread bare discussion were held with regard to socio economic developments obtaining due to the wrong policies of coalition Government in the State.
While addressing the meeting both, Dr Pandey and PYC chief, Pranav Shagotra urged newly elected office bearers to gear up for forthcoming Urban Local Bodies elections and for further strengthening the Youth Congress at all levels, as Youth Congress is planning to field the candidates in these elections.
Both Dr Pandey and Shagotra hit out at the PDP-BJP coalition Government in the State, who are doing everything to benefit themselves politically, not the people. They said that coalition Government should take measures to create employment avenues for the youth, as unemployment has risen considerably not only in Jammu, but in Kashmir and Ladakh also.
Those present on this occasion included Satish Sharma, Pankaj Basotra, Rajvir Singh, Paramjeet Singh, Imtiyaz Parray, Balbir Singh, Rajan Sharma, Vinay Sharma, Charanjeet Singh, Aamir Rasool, Rashid Malik, Pankaj Sharma, Alok Gupta, Rajeev Gupta, Hoshiyar Singh, Ricky Dalotra, Parmjeet Singh, Mohd Arif, Aijaz Chwdhary, Zaheer Abbass, Varun Mangotra, Ashwani Sharma and Ankit Sood.
