JAMMU, Mar 11: Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) today celebrated the landslide victory of the Congress party in Punjab besides emerging single largest party in Goa and Manipur.
The Youth Congress leaders and workers led by PYC president Pranav Shagotra held celebration at the PCC headquarters here today over the victory of the party in Punjab where ruling SAD-BJP received crushing defeat. Similarly, in Goa also the ruling BJP has lost and Congress has emerged as single largest party along with Manipur. Out of the five states which went to polls, congress has managed victory in three, two of which are BJP ruled States.
Talking to reporter’s PYC chief Shagotra said that Congress party accepts the verdict of the people, which is the beauty of the democratic system. He said that Congress party is committed to its ideology and principles as winning and losing is part of the electoral system. He congratulated the Congress leadership of the party as well the party cadres in these states.
Those who were present on the occasion included Krishan Lal Gupta (spokesperson, PCC), Nirdosh Sharma, Sanjeev Panda (PCC secretaries), Chetan Wanchoo (spokesperson PYC), Hoshiar Singh Chib (LC president), Ricky Dalotra, Anoop Gupta, (LYC gen secretaries), Sumit Sharma, Divyansh Jammwal, Shabir Kohli(LYC secretaries), Amit Sayal, Javed Lone (AYC Presidents), Wasim Hassan, Mohd Rafi, Gaurav Chopra, Sahil Langeh and Sanjay Thakur.
