Pushp Vatika organises Foundation cum Sports Day

JAMMU, Feb 20: Pushp Vatika, a unit of Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar Jammu celebrated its 25th Foundation cum Sports Day today in the School premises with exhilaration and fervour.
On the occasion, Surjit Singh Salathia, former Minister was the chief guest, while Sohail Kazmi, former general secretary Press Club, Jammu, Paramjeet Singh Raina (Corporator, Digiana), Shabir Khan, former Minster, Rajesh Bakshi, Senior member of cantonment board, Satwari, Rita Mengi, Trustee, RM Educational Trust, Madhuri, Incharge, Penguine Paradise, R.M.P.S), Neha, Coordinator of Class 1st, Rabinder Kour, Administrator, RM College of Education, Tripta (One of the founder & Senior Teacher of SNGN) and Sushma (One of the founder & Senior Teacher of SNGN)   were the guests of honour on the occasion.
All the guests were given rousing reception on their arrival and were presented saplings by Rameshwar Mengi, Principal of the School and other in-charges of the school.
The function commenced with National Anthem followed with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the Chief Guest, Special Guests and other dignitaries.
1st Volume of the weekly newspaper   ”DEV DISHA” was also released by the chief guest on the occasion. An enthralling Ganesh Vandana was presented by the little toddlers of Pushp Vatika.
The Principal of the school presented welcome address.
Many games were played by the participants like the Dress Up Game, Eating Hanging Apple, Balloon Burst and Tug of War.
After that the winners of the games were awarded with prizes and gifts.
The prize were given to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd position holders of Ankur, Koshika and Kalika and cash prizes were also given by all the distinguished guests.
The vote of thanks was presented by Sushma Sharma. Winners being felicitated by chief guest during Sports Day Celebration at Pushp Vatika on Monday.
