Punjab police arrests youth involved in unlawful activities

JAMMU, Dec 1: Punjab police arrested a youth in a case registered against him with Ajitwala Police Station from Shastri Nagar, here today.
As per police sources, a Punjab police team led by DySP Sarabjeet Singh and SHO Ajitwala Police Station arrested a youth namely Jagjit Singh, son of Narinder Singh of Shastri Nagar.
The youth was involved in a case registered under FIR Number 193/2016 with Police Station Ajitwala. According to the case, the youth was involved in unlawful activities and arrest warrant against him was issued by Judicial Magistrate.
Meanwhile, father of the arrested youth Narinder Singh has lodged a complaint with Police Station Gandhi Nagar alleging that Punjab Police ransacked his house.
However, General Secretary District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Avtar Singh Khalsa along with Mohinder Singh, President, Akali Dal Badal, Balwant Singh, Mohinder Singh Khalsa, General Secretary, UDP and Mohinderpal Singh from UDP assembled outside Gandhi Nagar Police Station and held protest against the alleged act by Punjab Police of ransacking the house of the arrested youth.
