Pundir slams ton, Guru scalps 5 as JCC enters finals of CM’s Cricket Cup

JAMMU, Mar 23: Talented batsman Shubam Pundir slammed brilliant century, while Rohan Koul scored valuable unbeaten 48 runs and Guru Partap Singh took splendid 5-wicket haul as Jammu Cricket Club (JCC) defeated National Cricket Club (NCC) by 67 runs in the semifinal to seal berth in the finals of the ongoing 1st State Level 50-Over Cricket Tournament for Chief Minister’s Cup at Gharota, near here.
Batting first, JCC scored 227 runs, with Shubam Pundir scoring unbeaten 112 runs and Rohan Koul contributing 48 runs to the total. Surya Mahotra, Paras Sharma and Guru Partap Singh chipped in with 15, 14 and 12 runs respectively.  For NCC, Vijay Dogra and Shubam Khajuria took 2 wickets each, while Inderjeet Singh and Deepak Singh Manhas claimed one wicket each.
In reply, NCC bundled out for 160 runs, thus lost the match by 67 runs. From JCC, Guru Pratap Singh was the wrecker-in-chief, claiming 5 important wickets, whereas, Deepak Dogra  and Paras Sharma took 2 wickets each.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Madan and Dayal Singh, while  former Ranji Trophy player Sandeep Singh Sunny was the match observer and the Council Nominee Mr. Randhir Singh and former Ranji Trophy player Mr. Suresh was also present on the occasion.
