Pulwama DIET campus

A period of seven years is, by no standards, any mean period but even in Education Sector , the basic infrastructure is in a shambles . District Institute of Education and Training (DIET)Pulwama is craving for its new campus in South Kashmir’s Pampore town to get completed for the last seven years .
The construction work of the campus was taken up in the year 2011 to impart training to teachers across Pulwama District in the new spacious campus, the construction work of which was handed over to Roads and Buildings Department with an estimated cost of Rs. 4.78 crore . Again, funds crunch has proved the villain to send the rhythm of work in disarray for two consecutive years.
Presently, the “trainings are imparted” to the teachers from a makeshift arrangement in the local Government Boys Higher Secondary School. Is it to make the best use of the “scarce resources” of the State Government or treat the area of training teachers to teach the students ably just not of much importance, the authorities in the Government alone can clarify. Do not get bogged up in the cycle of stopping the work, inviting fresh tenders, making new estimates, and other maneuverings of red tape . It will keep on moving making wastages only unless an able administrative initiative breaks it.
