Pulses end steady in thin trade

NEW DELHI, Dec 31:  Steady conditions prevailed at the wholesale pulses market today with prices moving in a narrow range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.

Traders said ample stocks position against sporadic demand mainly kept prices steady.

Following are today’s pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):

Urad Rs 6,300-7,300, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 6,600-6,700, Urad best Rs 6,700-7,200, Dhoya Rs 7,100-7,400, Moong Rs 5,200-5,400, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 5,700-5,900, Moong Dhoya local Rs 6,300-6,800 and best quality Rs 6,800-7,000.

Masoor small Rs 4,950-5,100, bold Rs 5,000-5,150, Dal Masoor local Rs 5,400-5,900, best quality Rs 5,500-6,000, Malka local Rs 6,200-6,400, best Rs 6,300-6,500, Moth Rs 3,500-3,900, Arhar Rs 5,150, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 7,000-8,800.

Gram Rs 9,000-9,200, Gram dal (local) Rs 9,800-10,100, best quality Rs 10,200-10,300, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 4,300, Rajdhani Rs 4,300, Rajma Chitra Rs 6,500-9,000, Kabuli Gram small Rs 9,700-10,200, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,400-5,600, Peas white Rs 2,500-2,525 and green Rs 2,700-2,800.
