KATHUA, Jan 30: Nag Devta Mandir Committee, Sanyal (Dinga Amb) and local public of the area have expressed strong resentment against Hiranagar police for its failure to solve theft case which took place in the Nag temple about two and half months ago.
The Mandir Committee members in a meeting held today under the chairmanship of Kuldip Gupta (Sarpanch), strongly criticised the concerned police for its total failure in solving this theft case. They said the people not only from Hiranagar and Billawar area, but also from entire district and even from Jammu visit Sanyal Nag Bawa Mandir. They have great faith in this religious place. Despite reminders to Incharge Dinga Amb Police Post and SHO Hiranaar by Committee members, the thieves who decamped with donation box containing over 30,000 money, two and half months back, are still untraced.
The Sarpanch said even the matter was brought to the notice of SSP Kathua some time back but he too, gave only assurance. The Mandir Committee and villagers of the area, have now resolved to come out on the road, disrupt traffic and lodge strong protest against police. They sought the intervention of IGP Jammu and DGP in this connection.
