JAMMU, Mar 2: A public darbar was held at Akhnoor under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu Rifat Kohli for redressing the grievances of people regarding NFSA.
The darbar was conducted by Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department in order to make corrections in ration e-tickets. All types of corrections like change of category, addition, deletion, correction of names and age etc were made as per the spot verification of original documents of the card holders.
A large number of people hailing from various villages of Akhnoor, Jourian, Maira-Mandrian and Chowki-Choura participated in the camp and obtained benefit of darbar.
Other officers who accompanied Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu were SDM Akhnoor Sunaina Sharma, Assistant Director Food and Civil Supplies D P Bhagat, Tehsildar Akhnoor, Kewal Krishan Sharma, Naib Tehsildar Sohal, Manohar Lal and TSOs of Akhnoor and Jourian.
Some other miscellaneous issues were also resolved on the spot.
