73rd Santosh Trophy for North Zone

KATRA, Feb 12: Punjab and Uttar Pradesh registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing 73rd Santosh Trophy for North Zone at Sports Complex, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, here.
The Championship is being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council, All India Football Federation, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Katra and J&K Bank Ltd.
In the first match, Punjab defeated Haryana by three goals to one (3:1). Jaspreet Singh scored two goals and Paramjit Singh scored one goal for Punjab, while from Haryana Parveen Dhull netted the lone goal.
In another match, Uttar Pradesh trounced Himachal Pradesh by a solitary goal (1-0). Ankur Kumar was the scorer.
