PRP’s concern over power crisis in rural areas of Valley

SRINAGAR, Feb 12: Expressing its grave concern over power crisis in Kashmir valley, Peoples Republican Party (PRP) has demanded that the damaged transformers in various villages which are facing sever power crisis be restored immediately.
In a meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of Ghulam Mohammed War senior leader of the Party, it demanded that Government should pay immediate attention to basic needs of the people like power supply, water supply, health care facilities, ration etc.
The meeting said that the shortage of staff in various departments including PDD, Health, PHE is the major handicap as these departments are being run by casual laborers and on the basis of adhocism. The meeting demanded immediate filling of vacant posts in these departments as well as hospitals which are facing shortage of doctors and para medical staff.
The meeting which was also addressed by Mir Ghulam Rasool Party president and Abdul Razak Dar district president demanded release of DA installment to employees besides regularization of casual workers and daily wagers as well as implementation of Seventh Pay Commission.
