SRINAGAR, Nov 29: The statement of former Chief Minister, Dr Farooq Abdullah on PoK has drawn a flake from Kashmir Valley also with People’s Republican Party (PRP) terming it childish and ridiculous.
Commenting on NC leader’s statement, PRP chief Mir Ghulam Rasool today said that Dr Abdullah when in power made many attacks over Pakistan and now he is suggesting that PoK should remain with Pak.
Expressing surprise over the statement, Mir said this way Dr Abdullah is making a mockery of democratic system and it is not known who has given him the authority to decide the division of a country.
Mir said with such statements by a responsible politician, people lose confidence in democracy and NC leader be made answerable for the same.
He said such statements have exposed Dr Abdullah and his Party NC also. Mir said it was the NC which headed the first democratic Government in the State and it also kept some seats vacant in both Houses of Assembly for PoK and which continue to be vacant till date. By saying that the State be divided Dr Abdullah was negating the decision taken by the leadership of his Party in forties, Mir added.
