Protest against shifting of health centre, road blocked

POONCH, Feb 4: The people from Gursai and Harmutta area today held strong protest demonstration against the move of shifting local health centre to Fambra Nad village.
A large number of villagers from Gursai and Harmutta came to Gursai Nallah at around 9 am and blocked road. They started protest demonstration against the move of the local MLA to shift an old health centre to   Fambra Nad Model village. The villagers strongly opposed this move and claimed that they will not allow to shift only health centre from this area.
They raised slogans against local NC MLA, DC Poonch and SDM  Mendhar and alleged that it was conspiracy against the people of Gursai Nallah  and Harmutta.
Later, SDPO Mendhar Riaz Tantray  and Naib Tehsildar TA Shah arrived there. They talked to the agitating people and also facilitated their talks with DC Poonch on phone who assured that this health centre will not be shifted and new one will be sanctioned for Model village. Then people lifted  dharna at round 12 noon.
