UDHAMPUR, July 1: The villagers from Katwalta held protest against PWD for the worst condition of road from Ramnagar to Katwalta and demanded its black topping.
About 15,000 villagers from Katwalta, Chowki, Majua, Rassain, Damk, Sullan and some adjoining areas are suffering because of the worst condition of this road. Local villager, Narender Singh said that many time villagers have repaired the road. There are large potholes in the road and the buses and mini buses operators refuse to operate when it rains. The students of the area are unable to attend college and Higher Secondary School at Ramnagar.
Alleging no action by the District administration and PWD to repaired the road and improve the road condition, locals villagers from Katwalta and adjoining areas held a protest demonstration today and raised slogans against the district administration and PWD and demanding black topping of this road. They warned to intensify their agitation.
