REASI, Apr 13 Ban Toll Andolan Samiti members, accompanied by locals of Karua village near Katra, today held a strong protest demonstration against National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) for charging extra toll from Reasi number vehicles.
The locals took out a protest march in Karua and also torched an effigy of NHAI. They raised slogans against NHAI and Government for not redressal of their genuine issue. They threatened to intensify their protests if no action is taken on their demand.
Pertinent to mention that similar protests are being held in various parts of district and the protesters are demanding issuance of pass for Reasi number vehicles.
