Property worth lakhs gutted in two separate incidents

KISHTWAR, Oct 24: Two fire incidents were reported from various parts of the district in which property worth lakhs was gutted.
As per reports, a three storied structure and the material kept inside was damaged in fire incident at Old Bazaar Kishtwar.
Heavy flames billowing out of roof of structure belonging to Ashok Gupta, son of Tej Ram of Shaheedi Road Kishtwar was spotted by some locals who informed Department of Fire and Emergency Services besides police and civil administration.
Acting swiftly, all the concerned agencies reached the spot and after hectic efforts, the fire was brought under control but till then the first floor of the building containing material was damaged in the fire.
No casualty has been reported in the incident, while a person received minor injuries. The exact loss has not been ascertained yet.
Meanwhile, a hardware store owned by Nazir Ahmed at Bus Stand Kishtwar got damaged in a fire incident. No casualty or injury has been reported in the incident.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Kishtwar Police Station and investigation started.
