Promises made by Modi proved hollow: Manohar

KATHUA, Feb 10: Terming the promises made by Modi Government as mere bluff and hollow, senior Congress leader  and former minister Dr Manohar Lal Sharma said that the  people are fed up with their policies and sheer opportunism.
Speaking at a programme, `Chourahe Pe Charcha’  organised by Billawar Block Congress Committee today Dr Sharma launched attack on Modi Govt for allegedly disturbing the economy of the country with demonetization. He said with this act of  Prime Minister Modi, the poor and middle class people have suffered a lot. The rich were not seen in the queues outside banks but poor and lower middle class have faced tough time.
Dr Manohar held Modi Govt responsible for wrong polices. “The farmers, labourers, shopkeepers, small-scale industries have underwent worst phase. Does that mean these people are holding the black money,” he said adding that this act of Government had led to death of innocent people.
Cong leader said that Prime Minister should give reply to the five questions which AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi. The Congress wants f a ‘White Paper’ on the issue to expose the truth behind the demonetization and would like to ask PM that how much black money has been unearthed since November 8, 2016.
District Congress Committee president for Kathua Ex-MLC Subash Gupta, also questioned the purpose of linking various utility services with Aadhaar, as most of the people in Jammu and Kashmir were yet to get the cards due to non-payment of dues by the PDP-BJP Govt to the agency designated to issue unique identification numbers.
Ashok Kumar Sharma former MLA and  senior party leader MK Bhardhwaj (Adv)  also addressed the gathering.
Zaid Sarfrash Malik (adv), Dr Nariender Vaid,  Sham Sapolia,  Budhi Singh,  Indu Bhushan, Dr Sunny Khajuria, Ramesh Sapolia, Dr Ram Pal and number of other activists were present on the occasion.
