Priya Sethi hands over ambulance to Sampark

JAMMU, July 8: Former Minister and MLA Priya Sethi today said that Society has a bigger role to play and every individual especially the youth must prioritize his duty by indulging more in welfare activities.
She was speaking at a function after handing over the Ambulance to Sampark Economical Development Society here at Purani Mandi today.
To provide better and swift medical facilities at the door steps, the Ambulance costing Rs 3,54,196 lakh was donated by the MLA through her Constituency Development Fund (CDF)
Priya Sethi underlined the aim and purpose of Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan launched by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India, and said that the Government led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi aims to provide assured, comprehensive and quality antenatal care, free of cost, universally to all pregnant women on the 9th of every month.
She said  the needy persons can avail services of new ambulance. Besides, its services can be availed for sports events, medical camps and religious processions.
The former Minister called for collective efforts to empower the women as no nation can be empowered and developed without empowering each and every section of society.
Members of the society Shifali Sharma, secretary, Chander Kant (Treasure), Shivali Vaid, Neelam Gupta, Sushant Baigra (Member) complimented the MLA for showing sincere interest for the noble cause.
Emphasizing on public contribution, Priya Sethi said that every individual must volunteer himself to assist the needy to develop a sense of security among them. The MLA assured that every possible measure will be taken for immediate redressal of the grievances with special focus on the underprivileged and stressed on the need of raising massive awareness among the people about the welfare schemes and programmes.
In her address Nisha Verma highlighted the working of the NGO and informed that the organization has been working in the field of socio economic development to give benefit to the SC/ST, weaker section of the society, poor masses especially women, Scheduled Caste, Schedule Tribes.
