KATRA, Dec 4: Minister of State for Education and Tourism, Priya Sethi visited Shri Mata Vaishno Devi (SMVD) Narayana Superspeciality Hospital and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi College of Nursing, Kakryal to inspect the facilities being provided there.
Sethi took a round of the Hospital and also interacted with the patients. Appreciating the facilities of the Hospital, she said that availability of such facilities is boon for the people of the State. She also had discussion with Dr (Brig) Man Mohan Harjai, Chief Administrative Officer of the Hospital and Manu Ramachandar, Facility Director of the Hospital and inquired about futuristic expansion of this tertiary care hospital.
Earlier, she also visited various departments of the College of Nursing, which has been established by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. She interacted with Dr (Brig) MM Harjai, Administrator, Dr Shailla Cannie, Principal, faculty and the students of the College regarding the functioning of the institution. She was informed that the College has completed its first year of functioning and the second batch was admitted in July 2017.
The Nursing College has a highly qualified faculty and is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure like hi-tech smart classrooms, modern labs and a well-stocked library with the facility of on-line journals and, besides, a well-furnished hostel and facilities for hygienically prepared balanced food.
