Primary Sanskrit learning centre inaugurated at MIET

JAMMU, Nov 14: Initiating a small step for science students, a Sanskrit learning centre has been started at Model Institute of Engineering and Technology at Kot Bhalwal with the help of Union Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi. Prof P.N. Shastri in presence of college dignitaries inaugurated the centre on Tuesday at College premises.
Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, HRD has appointed Dr Parshotam Shastri for teaching of ancient Sanskrit language to the aspirant students of the institute. After inaugurating the centre,Prof P.N. Shastri emphasized the dire need for teaching of Sanskrit language compulsory at science institutes as it has direct link with the science.
Sanskrit language has broader indepth knowledge of universe which is based on science. Sanskrit was mother of all languages of world and the day is not far when whole world will learn this Sanskrit language, claimed Prof Shastri.
On the inauguration of centre, Dr Parshotam Shastri disclosed that this centre will provide primary learning and writing of Sanskrit language to the students. Large number of students have registered themselves with the centre to learn the Sanskrit language. On this occasion large number of students and dignitaries of institute were present in the inaugural programme.
