In his Republic Day, President of India Pranab Mukherjee has quite candid that any factured Government after the elections will be catastrophic to the country.
This is what has exactly happened to the country during last 10 years of the Congress led UPA Government. The coalition partners of the Government have never allowed the Government function properly. The Central Government had to face some embarrassing moment on foreign matters when Government succumbed to the vested interests of West Bengal Government and DMK party. The Government worked under the pulls and pressures of the coalition partners with the result it could not function to the satisfaction of people. The inflation, price rise, and low growth rate, therefore hit the country terribly. And India’s image in the comity of nations got a severe beating.
He has warned rightly that a fractured Government hostage to whimsical opportunists is always an eventuality. In 2014, it could be catastrophic.
Therefore, it is incumbent upon the countrymen particularly the voters to choose a Government which may not live on borrowed crutches. Rather, it is strong and have full faith of people. This only can take our country to new heights of prosperity and fame.
