Prem Nath Bhat Trust chalks out strategy for Shrines Bill

JAMMU, Nov 6: Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust (PNBMT) in a meeting here, today chalked out its strategy to accelerate struggle for passage of Shrines and Temples Bill which has been a long pending demand of the Kashmiri Pandits.
The meeting was chaired by M M Thaploo one of the senior members of the Trust and a well known social activist. It said since the community has given its mandate to the Trust in pursuing the demand at various quarters and bringing all the shades of opinion on a single platform so for as the protection and management of Hindu Shrines and Temples  in Kashmir are concerned who have suffered a heavy damage and loss during 28 year long turmoil,  the Trust is duty bound to take the struggle launched by it to its logical conclusion.
The members showed their concern over the delay in passage of Bill which was introduced in Assembly and urged the Trust to accelerate the struggle in this regard.
The meeting also discussed the future programmes of the Trust including observance of Chetna Divas falling on December 27 and the annual amateur journalist awards being given by the Trust for last two decades.  It said this year the function regarding journalist award will be held at K P Sabha on November 19.
The meeting was attended by the Trust members, representatives of different organizations, heads and representatives of temples and shrines Committees and prominent community thinkers and opinion makers.
The prominent who were present included Brij Lal Bhat, R L Pandita, Bushsan Lal, B L Zar, K L Saraf, Ashok Ji, Sundri Lal Koul, Kashmiri Lal Bhat and Vijay Kashkari.
