Prayaas distributes eatables, clothes among needy

JAMMU, Jan 20: Prayaas, a Non-Government Organization today distributed eatables while warm clothes, shoes, blankets, notebooks, pens and pencils among slum children at Bahu Plaza Public Park near SBI bank, Jammu.
Continuing their awareness drive about role of education in society and to eliminate poverty, the members of the organization led by their chairmen Prayaas, Navjot Bakshi and Rahul Prasher, also held an awareness camp about importance of education and urged the youth to join their initiative.
Navjot Bakshi and Rahul Prasher urged the youth of the State to indulge in social activities rather than getting plunged into drug abuse and other immoral activities in order to make the State in particular and our country in general a peaceful, prosperous and devoid of illiteracy and poverty, malnutrition and distress.
The Prayaas group appealed to the educated youth of J&K to come forward and support at least four poor children in pursuing their education per year.
