JAMMU, Feb 20: Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha celebrated 640th ‘Prakash Utsav’ of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj at High Court Road, Janipur here on Sunday.
The programme was organised under the leadership of Piare Lal Angural, president of the Sabha (Janipur Unit). A large number of devotees paid obeisance to Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj. Bua Ditta and Ramesh Chander delivered religious sermons on this occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, Angural said that Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj struggled throughout his life for justice, equality and brotherhood. He always struggled for eradication of social evils.
MLA Jammu West and State president of BJP Sat Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion. He spoke on the teachings of Guru Ravi Dass Ji. He also greeted the people on this occasion.
Among others who were present included Dr Des Raj Menia, Tej Ram, Dr Vijay Shivgotra, Ranjit Kumar, Kartar Chand, Sham Lal Kalsi, Mangat Ram Kalsi, Sham Lal – Manager, KL Chadgal, Gopal Dass and Amar Nath Bevoria. Sham Lal Basson conducted stage and extended vote of thanks. A community langar was also arranged on the occasion.
