JAMMU, Apr 12: Splendid 5-wicket haul by Praful Dhar and good knocks by Musaif Ajaz and Ashank powered RCC Srinagar to 9-wicket win over Country Cricket Academy (CCA) in the 50-Over Match, organized by the Academy at its Playfield, Gharota, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Country Cricket Academy was bundled out for a paltry total of 71 runs in 19 overs in a 50-Over game. Manav and Jugjap scored 13 runs each, while Manik contributed 11 runs to the total. Swastik and Agaste chipped in with 4 runs each. For RCC, Praful Dhar was the wrecker-in-chief, who spun web around the rival batsmen and took 5 important wickets, while Ramnik bagged 2 wickets. Brijesh and Musaif claimed one wicket each.
In reply, RCC chased the target in 12 overs by losing 1 wicket, thus won the match by 9 wickets. Musaif Ajaz top scored with unbeaten 35 runs, studded with 3 fours and 2 sixes, while Ashank contributed unbeaten 20 runs to the total including 2 boundaries. Avinash also chipped in with 11 runs. Praful was declared as man of the match for his 5-wicket haul.
