JAMMU, May 4: Railways Minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Minister of State in Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Dr Jitendra Singh and Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha will tomorrow launch four new DMUs between Banihal to Baramulla and Baramulla to Budgam from Railway Bhawan New Delhi.
Simultaneously, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti will launch the trains by showing them green flag at Anantnag. Ms Mufti along with her Cabinet colleagues and Members of Parliament will board the train and travel some distance on it.
Prabhu along with Dr Jitendra Singh and Manoj Sinha will inaugurate the new train services at 2 pm from Rail Bhawan, New Delhi via video conferencing tomorrow. Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti will also launch the train services at the same time from Anantnag.
The new DMUs will go a long way in helping the people of Kashmir to travel between Banihal to Baramulla and Baramulla to Budgam, official sources said.
