PPEU holds meet, projects demands

JAMMU, Jan 6: Provincial Power Employees Union (PPEU) held a meeting under the chairmanship of Shakti Gupta and discussed the demands of PDD employees.
In the meeting, Shakti Gupta demanded reorganization of PDD which was not held after 1981, regularization of PDD daily wagers, release pending wages of RCL and need base workers, convening of DPC of Tech-II and Tech-III, benefits of 7th pay commission of PDD staff and State Government employees and exemption of some electricity charges to J&K PDD employees.
The PPEU leaders stressed upon the Government to regularize the RCL and need based workers of PDD, who are on strike for the past 5 months, failing which workers of PDD will also go on strike to support them and Government will be responsible for power failure and loss of revenue.
Those, who spoke were Madan Gopal Gupta, Senior Vice President, Supinder Singh, Vice President, Ram Lal, Vice President, Manjeet Singh, Distr-ict President, Subash Sharma, President, M&RE Division Prade, Rakesh, Organiser, Tejinder Dutta, President, Division No III Jammu, Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Amarjeet, Vice President, Suchait Singh, District President, PPEU Kathua and Radhe Sham, District President, Daily Wager Union Kathua.
