Power employees meet MD PDC

JAMMU, Jan 28: J&K Central Non-Gazetted Electrical Employees Union members today called on Managing Director, Jammu & Kashmir State Power Development Corporation Mehraj Ahmad Kakroo, Administrative Officer Firdous Hussain and Hamidullah Human Resources Incharge and discussed the demands of employees and workers of PDC with them.
The Union delegation was led by Rafiq Ahmed Khanyari  its president who was accompanied by  State general secretary Parshotam Sharma, Abdul Gaffar Khan, Raj Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Nissar Chouhan, Javed Choudhary, Saney Dorjey, Mohammed Aslam Choudhary, Sampooran Choudhary, Suresh Sharma, G M Reshi and others.
The delegation discussed delay in issuance of formal orders for regularization of PDC daily wagers in the State. It warned that in case the formal orders were not issued immediately the Union would launch agitation against the Corporation.
The MD informed the delegation that there were some anomalies in the list and the formal orders will only be issued after removal of these anomalies. He informed the delegation that the issue will also be taken up with the Chief Minister and assured them that the formal orders will be issued by February 25.
The other demands discussed included forwarding of lists of all cadres of PDC to convener DPC, repairing of residential quarters at head works for shift staff, power house colony and Udhampur colony, release of leave salary for retired employees since  2008, issuance of rain coats for shift staff and filling up of the vacant posts of shift staff at power house stage Ist, IInd and IIIrd.
