MENDHAR, May 30: Several areas falling under Pathana Pir and Harni in Mendhar sub division are facing electricity crisis.
Reports said some hamlets in Pathana Pir were covered by the PDD under RGGVY Scheme recently and poles were erected and cables laid in the area. The authorities allegedly placed an out of order transformer which failed to provide power to the villagers who were waiting for electricity since 1947. It appeared to be a big joke with them. Sarpanch of the area along with some locals lodged complaint with the AEE concerned who expressed his helplessness in this regard.
Similar problem is being experienced by the people of Harni whose transformer got damaged and could not be restored for the last one month. The people got agitated and threatened to block road if the power is not restored with in three days.
