Please refer to the news item”Public in Rajouri-Poonch being duped by ration dealers-Deptt nexus” DE, June 1, 2018. It was very surprising to read that the people of Rajouri and Poonch were duped despite the fact that the Cabinet Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), at that time, Ch Zuflkar Ali hails from that region. This shows the attitude of our representatives towards the problems of general public. If this type of scam can happen under the nose of a local minister then what to say of other regions and other scams. It is only through an unbiased press like Daily Excelsior that the sufferings of common man are highlighted, otherwise poor people would continue to suffer. Even after highlighting the problems by the media, our representatives are as cool as they ever are and there is no accountability of these people.
