Poonch zone boys, girls emerge winners in ‘Let’s Play’ Football

POONCH, Apr 21: Drubbing Surankote and Kanuyian zones in the summit clashes, Poonch zone boys and girls won the title trophies in the ongoing ‘Let’s Play’ Football Tournament under ‘Khelo India’ scheme at BHSS and Sports Stadium, here.
Poonch zone defeated Surankote in boys section, while it got the better of Kanuyian zone in girls section.
The Tournament in which eleven zones of Poonch district participated under the age group of 19 years is being held under the supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Poonch.
Principal of BHSS Poonch, Sudarshan Khajuria was the chief guest on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Mohd Qasim, Narjeet Singh, Surinder Singh, Narinder Singh, Barak, Sarla Devi. Mohd Tariq, Narinder Singh, Rajinder Singh, Gurvinder Singh, Devinder Singh and Matinderpal Singh,
The matches were officiated by Tarlochan Singh, Mohinder Bali, Rajinder Singh, Gurvinder Singh, Bhopinder Singh and Ramesh Kumar.
